Both originally composed for keyboard (harpsichord or virginal). The Pavane composed ca. 1612 and published as no. 6 in the collection Parthenia. The Gigg published as A Giff F. Tr[egian], no. 180 in the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book compiled probably after 1621.
